Creating experimental feature films like The Ladies Almanack, music videos, films for installation, and more over at Intrinsic Grey Productions.

A two-person team of multidisciplinary makers tackling performance, cinema, and installation to create dynamic projects from inception to execution, Intrinsic Grey lives between the grain. Acosta and Tate have collaborated on feature films such as The Ladies Almanack, created dance films, music videos, stop motion projects and micro-documentaries from foundries to fashion.  Based in New York City, they engage in a hands-on approach at all levels of production to create the good, the dark, the smart, and the weird with a varied host of collaborations and partners.

YOU ARE INTRINSIC. WE ARE INTRINSIC.

W/ MANUEL VASON at RAPID PULSE 2014

Every summer Chicago becomes over run with international and national performance artists and thinkers for Rapid Pulse International Performance Art Festival, and this June I was thrilled to join them as part of a collaboration series with Performance Art Photographer Manuel Vason entitled Becoming an Image.

Working with Vason to create an image was a thrill.  Two where chosen and assembled on a 4X8 panel and carried to DFBRL8R Performance Gallery, exploring issues of the weighted image, of self representation within our work, and the indestructible permanence of the digital.  In total 10 artists met at the space and compiled the works together in a totem, momentarily together and then destroyed.

An erasure of labor and interruption of space.

W/ ATOM-R

Recently I have been working with an incredible group of artists and wanted to share some of their work with you.  After 2 years this talented ensemble led by co-founders Mark Jeffery + Judd Morrissey explores forensics, anatomy, and 21st century embodiment through performance, language and emerging technologies. Here's a little tease for those audiences not in Chicago this Spring.

Performance Ensemble:  Justin Deschamps, Sam Hertz, Christopher Knowlton, and Blake Russell.

W/ RADIUS - FLEETING COMPONENTS

FLEETING COMPONENTS, a micro-documentary series, following the 4 part series GRIDS, presented by Radius.

Fleeting Components attempts to encapsulate the material and censorial worlds created and supported by alternative radio and sound explorers.  Using the GRIDS series as a container, we look in on the layers of making and what ensues when we make work for a moment of presence, for the air, for the waves, for the doing.

Radius is an experimental radio broadcast platform based in Chicago, IL, USA.
